Sandra A. Vannoy

Sandra A. Vannoy is an Assistant Professor of Computer Information Systems in the Walker College of Business at Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina. She received her PhD in Information Systems from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Dr. Vannoy has published her research in such journals as Information Systems Research, Communications of the ACM, International Journal of Virtual Communities and Social Networking, among others, and has been active in international conferences including the Americas Conference on Information Systems (AMCIS), Hawai’i International Conference on System Sciences (HICSS), International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS), and the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS). Her research interests lie primarily in the areas of the role of information systems in competitive dynamics and social computing.
