Sanjiban Sekhar Roy

Sanjiban Sekhar Roy joined in VIT University in the year of 2009 as an Asst. Professor. In August, 2016 he completed Ph.D. from VIT in Computer Science and Engineering (Specialization in Machine Learning/Data Science). In his Ph.D. research, he worked on theoretical and applied aspects of machine learning and modeled email spam filters, where he developed optimized machine learning techniques of spam email detection. He has more than 7 years of post graduate experience in Computer Science and Engineering. During these 7 years, he developed various skills such as machine learning techniques for network security like designing email spam filter, application of various machine learning techniques(Artificial Neural Network, Support Vector Machine, Least Square Support Vector Machine, Relevance Vector Machine, Extreme Learning Machine, Deep Learning, Minimax Probability Machine), stock market forecasting, biological science, civil engineering, environmental engineering and also writing project proposal, teaching courses, and carrying out international and national collaboration on various challenging problems. He has published various articles in reputed international journals and conferences.
