Slawomir T. Wierzchon

Slawomir T. Wierzchon received M.Sc. and PhD. degrees from Warsaw University of Technology in 1974 and 1979 resp. As university professor he gave lectures in soft computing, machine learning, and Nature inspired algorithms at Bialystok University of Technology and University of Gdansk. Currently he works at the Institute of Computer Science of Polish Academy of Sciences. His research interests encompass data, text and Web mining, social network analysis and Nature inspired algorithms. He holds Habilitation degree in computer science (1977) and in 2003 he was awarded with the scientific title of Professor of Technical Sciences by the President of the Republic of Poland.
