Stephen Farrier

Stephen Farrier, now retired, was a senior academic and Senior researcher of 35 years’ experience. Stephen still remains active as consultant, advisor, mentor, researcher and research advisor within Higher Education, Public and private sector strategic levels. Stephen’s research experience, as Senior Research Fellow, Senior Academic Adviser, educational consultant and senior lecturer, in Higher Education and professional education, is primarily within the area of abstracted learning, including pedagogy development and learning technologies. Stephen’s other specialisms include, the study of professional practice, the sociology of professions, cultural competence and harmonization, diversity, participatory democracy, knowledge architecture, skills acquisition, professional competence in terms of Education and learning. Stephen also has collaborative research experience in, assistive technologies, serious gaming architectures in education and learning. Stephen has developed and delivered many research based projects nationally and internationally, and is known for his credibility in these fields, as Principal Investigator, research manager, project manager. Stephen has published globally and has presented at many conferences and consultancies throughout his career.
