Stéphane Larrieu

Stéphane Larrieu is the founder and president of Aero Research, an aerospace consulting firm specializing in advanced pilot training products and mission adaptive displays. He is a pilot selection expert and has extensive experience in developing effective pilot training programs. He is currently working on a new process to measure the skills of experienced candidates. Stéphane has developed tools to assess the reasoning modes, decision process, stress management, situation awareness, and communication abilities of pilots. Stéphane is a PhD candidate in cognitive sciences and holds a Masters in industrial systems engineering. He has completed extensive post-graduate course work in aviation psychology, specializing in the operational decision making aspects of flight crew mission performance. He has worked for several companies developing pilot training programs including Brit Air, CRM (Cockpit Resource Management), TransAirco Geneva, Dassault Falcon Service Paris, and Dassault Aviation Bordeaux. Stéphane has extensive operational and training experience in airline operations and safety. He holds an Airline Transport Pilot License and has flown many different aircraft type for national air carriers. He is currently ¬flying as a flight officer on the Airbus A-380. He has been an avionics flight test engineer for FMS, EFIS, BRNAV, and TCAS GPWS installation.
