Thais Spiegel

Thais SpiegelThais Spiegel is an Associate Professor in the Industrial Engineering Department of Rio de Janeiro State University. Her research interests include operations management and design, process modeling, decision making, logistic and supply chain management. The author is pioneer in the convergence of cognitive sciences and industrial engineering in Brazil. She works on the premise that, in order for decision-making to be understood “completely” and improved, the underlying cognitive processes must be examined. It thus sets out to identify how decision-making is shaped by the cognitive processes of the agents involved.
