Tiziano Balzano

Tiziano Balzano is currently Postdoctoral research fellow at the HM CINAC, Hospital Universitario HM Puerta del Sur (Madrid, Spain). He completed his PhD in Neuroscience in the Laboratory of Neurobiology at the Príncipe Felipe Research Center (Valencia, Spain) on hepatic encephalopathy in September 2017. His PhD thesis was focused on the underlying mechanisms by which neuroinflammation produces cognitive and motor alterations in liver diseases. Now he holds the position of Postdoctoral research fellow and his works focus on the role of neuroinflammation and neurovascular unit in the pathogenesis of Parkinson's disease. Dr. Balzano has published over than 30 international articles, book chapters and conference papers in well recognized peer reviewed journals and international scientific meetings.
