Vitor P. Ribeiro

Vitor P. RibeiroVitor Ribeiro is a Geography professor with strong interest in Geographic Information Systems applications. He holds a PhD in Urban and Regional Planning and is conducting a postdoctoral research on New Geographic Information Technologies applications to enhance teaching and learning process. He is a lecteur in Geography Education at Geography Department, Minho University and at Basic Department Education, Higher School of Education of Paula Frassinetti. He is deading with GIS, since 2000, in several research fields, e.g. flood hazard analysis, water stress management, health planning, transportation, urban transport planning, accessibility and location analysis, tourism management, crime geography, web mapping and geographic education.
