Yvonne Marie Tiandem-Adamou

Yvonne Tiandem-Adamou is a Lecturer at Wenzhou-Kean University, China, where she brings a passion for teaching Humanities and language education and a commitment to fostering technology, critical thinking, and communication skills among her students. She earned her Master's in Education from the University of North Carolina-Charlotte, focusing on second language acquisition and pedagogy. Her doctorate in Education focuses on Higher Education Leadership. Dr. Tiandem-Adamou’s research agenda centers on exploring innovative approaches and best practices for teaching and learning, particularly interested in integrating technology, 21st-century skills, and artificial intelligence into language learning environments. With over 20 years of classroom experience, she understands the importance of developing holistic students who are emotionally and competently prepared to thrive in today’s technologically inclined job market. Her interests encompass curriculum development and teacher training, reflecting her commitment to advancing the field through interdisciplinary perspectives. Her current project, “Navigating the Digital Era: Cultivating Critical Skills for Success in the 21st Century,” suggests ways to narrow the current “skills gap” in the workforce caused by rapidly changing technology. Additionally, she is passionate about promoting equity and social justice issues in her global educational community. Dr. Tiandem-Adamou’s dedication to scholarship, teaching, and service reflects her commitment to positively impacting students' success in higher education and future workplaces.
