Yvonne O'Connor

Yvonne O'ConnorDr O' Connor is a post-doctoral researcher within the Health Information Systems Research Centre (HISRC), Business Information Systems at University College Cork. Her research focuses on Information Systems (IS) within the health domain, primarily mobile technology (mHealth). This involves considering how health care is delivered and how it might be improved by introducing IS; identifying barriers and facilitators to mHealth pre- and post-implementation; investigating the decision making process of both direct and indirect users of mHealth; exploring health-related outcomes associated with clinical decision support systems and examining mHealth from a developed and developing world context. Outside of research, Yvonne has been lead UI/UX analyst for a number of mHealth projects. This work involves prototyping and designing graphic user interfaces (GUIs). Yvonne is also an Editorial Board Member for Health Policy and Technology journal and the International Journal of Reliable and Quality E-Healthcare. She is a reviewer for top journals and conferences; namely, Journal of Medical Internet Research, European Conference of Information Systems, International Conference of Information Systems, European Conference on Information Management and Evaluation and International Conference on Mobile Business. She has published in a number of national and internal journal and conferences.
