Abstract

The belt and road initiative development strategy proposed by Secretary General Xi Jinping is currently being carried out. The world economy will work more closely together, and the logistics industry will advance to higher level of development. In this paper, to help realize improved world-wide logistics, a decision-making platform based on global manufacturing was built from a survey and an analysis of the overall competitiveness of the logistics industry in terms of demand for logistics services and logistics service capabilities. The platform was found to offer good performance and meet the application requirements.

Introduction

Globalization is the inevitable trend of the development of the international community, whether it is economic globalization or market globalization, and the logistics industries are inseparable. Globalization offers several advantages in variety of fields. It helped to grow businesses all across the world while also increasing cultural interactions. It also enabled financial transactions among businesses, altering the work paradigm. The process through which financial, intellectual interactions, social besides technical make the globe a more linked as well as interrelated place is referred to as globalization. Its impacts have been unequal, including sectors, nations prospering more than other, and people. The process of globalization is inseparable from the promotion of the logistics industry (Srisawat et al. 2017). In particular, since China's accession to the WTO, trade exchanges between China and foreign countries have been more abundant. To make the Chinese goods exported to foreign countries, the logistics industry is one of the elements that must be developed, and the design of an excellent logistics decision-making platform can make the development of the logistics industry take a step across the times (Yazdani et al. 2017). When it comes to employing collection points in companies, logistical choices such as bin positioning besides periodicity of disposing must be made. Logistics industry is the responsible for the distribution of products from one place of source to another in order to fulfil the needs of customers. Its achievement relies on the appropriate management of everyday operations associated with the production of completed products as well as services for the firm (Saravanan et al. 2015; Gao et al 2020). The development of the Internet also provides a solid theoretical and material basis for the design of logistics decision-making platform. Logistics, as previously stated, include getting the goods to customers services at the right place, at the proper moment, in addition to at the appropriate price and performance. The decision relies on the sort of company, the goods it sells, besides the marketplace where it participates. Logistics achievement in business leads to enhanced efficiency, high manufacturing rates, reduced costs, wiser warehousing space utilization, superior stock management, customers’ satisfaction and enhanced product as well as service satisfaction. The establishment of a logistics decision-making platform based on global manufacturing can make people in all corners of the world can easily use the Chinese products, and is of great significance for the development of the national economy (Fanti et al. 2017).

However, the current development of logistics decision-making platform and the global logistics industry is not very good. Inventory period of manufacturing goods is up to 51 days, the inventory period of enterprise goods is more than 34 days, this shows that logistics turnaround time is too long, and the logistics industry has a huge problem to be solved (Iliezudor et al. 2015). In addition, damage rate of goods is higher than 2%, this shows that the logistics industry has a huge flaw. In addition, the operation cost is too high, and the choice of logistics routes often appears problem. A firm that resources which help, modules, sub-assemblies as well as completed goods for a further company through utilizing raw materials, effective logistic system, engineering expertise and cost is referred to as global manufacturer. The leading nations through worldwide market dominance in every one of the 5 manufacturing sectors differ (Fu et al. 2020; Jiao et al. 2019). The role of production is shifting. Manufacturing’s contribution to the economic phenomenon as countries develop is production supports creativity, export more than employment creation, sophisticated societies, and efficiency.
