The project success model in form of the fusion model of knowledge capital and project management, which is the base for development of the research model in this study, is presented in Figure 1.

The model suggests that three project-related knowledge assets: project team, customer, and process are significant determinants of project success. While project process has a direct impact on the final project success, the project people aspect (team and customer) was found to impact success indirectly via process. This also means that active and continuous involvement of team and customer in project practices leads to an improved project process. Furthermore, a significant correlation between project team and customer was identified, suggesting that they need to work closely together to establish an effective process of project development (Handzic et al., 2016).
