Abstract

This study explored the relationship between employee loneliness and turnover so as to ensure that enterprises can adjust personnel structure and management system in time. A classification and regression tree (CART) decision tree algorithm was proposed to predict employee turnover. First, the relationship between workplace loneliness and turnover intention was described. Then, the CART decision tree model was implemented, and a questionnaire survey (QS) was designed. The relationship between workplace loneliness and turnover intention was studied by correlation analysis and regression analysis. Second, the basic algorithm and principle of the CART decision tree were introduced, then the data set was determined according to the characteristic variables and target variables obtained from data preprocessing and feature selection. The data set was then randomly divided into the training set and test set with a ratio of 8:2.

Characteristics of Post-00s Group

The characteristics of the post-00s generation are presented in Figure 1.

Figure 1.

a)Interest Analysis; b) Personality Analysis

IJITSA.390241.f01

Figure 1(a) displays the five most interesting activities of the post-00s: star chasing, games, social interaction, We-media, and anime, showing that its members’ preferences are fun-oriented. Figure 1(b) summarizes their characeristics: (1) strong sense of self-awareness, self-centeredness, and a lack of communication skills; (2) dependent and avoidant personality; (3) emotion-oriented problem-solving and a lack of rational analysis and in-depth perception; (4) the pursuit of self-worth and happiness. Apparently, the post-00s group is more prone to negative emotions at work, resulting in a higher TI (Hwang & Han, 2020).
