Editor/Author Biographies
Petraq Papajorgji is a professor at the Universiteti Europian i Tiranes, Albania. His field of reseach is modelling of complex information system. He is author of a number of books in modelling and has a number of publications in his research area.
François Pinet (http://www.irstea.fr/pinet) received his M.Sc. in Computer Science in 1997 (ENS Lyon) and his PhD in Computer Science in 2002 (INSA Lyon). He is currently a research director at the French Institute for Agricultural and Environmental Engineering (Irstea—Clermont-Ferrand). His field of research is in data warehouse, environmental information systems and geomatics. He is member of several scientific committees of different international conferences and journals in the fields of geomatics. Dr. Pinet has coauthored over 100 papers (Geoinformatica, IJGIS, Sigmod Record, Environmental Modelling & Software, ER, ACM GIS, ISSDQ, etc.) and has been involved in numerous national and international IT projects. He has been a co-organizer for several conferences and workshops on information systems. In France, he also teaches graduate courses (M.Sc and PhD degrees) on computer science and GIS (Blaise Pascal University). Petraq Papajorgji and François Pinet are the editors-in-chief of the International Journal of Agricultural and Environmental Information Systems.
Alaine Margarete Guimarães is a professor in the Computer Sciences Department and serves the State University of Ponta Grossa – Brazil as Director of Research. Dr Alaine teaches classes and guides students in Computer Engineering undergraduate and in Applied Computation graduate degrees. Dr. Alaine has experience in Computer Science with emphasis in Computational Intelligence, acting on the following subjects: agricultural data mining, intelligent systems and information technology applied to agriculture. Current research focuses on agricultural data mining. Dr Alaine is International Editorial Review Board member of International Journal of Agricultural and Environmental Information Systems (IJAEIS) and a Affiliated member of Brazillian society of Computer Science in Agriculture.
Jason Papathanasiou is a Professor at the Department of Business Administration, University of Macedonia, Greece. He holds a PhD in Operational Research and a degree in Physics from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He has worked for a number of years at various institutes and has organized and participated in many international scientific conferences and workshops. He has published papers in international scientific peer referred journals like the Environmental Monitoring and Assessment, Environmental Modelling & Software, Regional Studies, European Journal of Operational Research, PNAS, Fuzzy sets and Systems, Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews, and has edited or authored a number of books. He has coordinated, reviewed proposals and participated in many research projects in FP6, FP7, Horizon 2020, Erasmus+, Interreg and COST; he was also a member of the TDP Panel of COST. He is a member of the coordination board of the Euro Working Group on Decision Support Systems. His research interests include Decision Support Systems, Operational Research and Multicriteria Decision Making.
