Editor/Author Biographies
Brad Scott serves as Faculty – Economics within the Business Department under the College of Technical Programs at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College in Salisbury, North Carolina. He is also an adjunct instructor and doctoral student (D.B.A. – Economics) with the Godbold College of Business at Gardner-Webb University. Mr. Scott started writing and presenting work in K-12 economics education after beginning his teaching career with Mallard Creek STEM Academy (Charlotte, NC), a K-8 Charter School. He holds a M.S. in Applied Economics from Southern New Hampshire University and B.A. from Lenoir-Rhyne University. Brad Scott is an active member of the American Economic Association and the National Association of Economics Educators.
Melanie E. Fox is a Clinical Assistant Professor and Director of the Purdue Center for Economic Education. She joined Purdue University's Daniels School of Business in August 2023. Prior to joining the faculty at Purdue, she was the Director of Undergraduate Studies in the Department of Economics at Virginia Tech. Her career of more than 20 years in economic education has included co-creating the Economic Scholars Program at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas and developing the economics content on Khan Academy. Dr. Fox holds a B.A, M.A., and Ph.D. from the University of Houston.
