Description

The field of curriculum inquiry has grown rapidly over the last four decades, resulting in many new forms of curriculum inquiry to be used as tools to answer unique curriculum related research questions. The chapters are each devoted to a particular form of curriculum inquiry. Specifically, each chapter discusses the methodology, structure, and organization related to a certain type of curriculum inquiry. There will be conceptual analyses of the selected methodologies, discussions of their purposes, and examples of how the form of inquiry can be utilized. There will also be cited examples of published studies that have utilized these methodologies, relevant data collection instruments and forms of data produced, and research questions that can be answered via their form of inquiry.

This book has the purposes of enabling researchers and students to wisely choose a form of curriculum inquiry most appropriate for their study. The book will be of interest to those just beginning educational research who need a broad understanding of each type of inquiry, seasoned researchers teaching educational research methodologies courses, published scholars interested in exploring new methodologies, and especially doctoral students.
