Editor/Author Biographies

Alfred Akwala Dr. Akwala is a holder of a PhD degree in Communication Studies from Moi University (Kenya), an M. A (Linguistics) and B.Ed. (Arts)-Linguistics and Literature degrees from University of Nairobi (Kenya). Akwala has an extensive teaching experience both at University and Secondary Schools levels in Kenya. He has lectured in the following Kenyan colleges and universities on part time basis; Kenya Institute of Mass Communication, University of Nairobi, Africa Nazarene University, Pan Africa Christian University, Pioneer International University, Multimedia University, Karatina University, Kisii University. He is currently a full-time lecturer in the Department of Linguistics and Literary Studies. His research interests are in development communication specifically Health Communication. He has widely published book chapters and journal articles relating to health communication. He is a member of the International Association for Media and Communication Research.

Joel Kibet Ngetich is a Lecturer at Kabianga University, Kenya. He holds a PhD in Communication Studies from Moi University. He holds Masters of Arts in Economics from Jiwaji University, India, Postgraduate diploma in Mass Communication from University of Nairobi School of Journalism and Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Economics from Kurukshetra University, India. His research interest is in the area of journalism and media studies.

Agnes W. Muchura Theuri works at The National Youth Service Institute of Business Studies, Kenya and also an adjunct Lecturer in the department of Communication Studies at Moi University, Kenya. She holds a PhD degree in Communication Studies from Moi University. Her research interests include; intercultural language and intercultural communication.
