Encyclopedia of The Nation of Islam highlights key figures and linguistics of the organization. The Nation of Islam has been one of the leading voices on issues related to Africana communities for over 80 years. Despite the world prominence of it's leaders such as Elijah Muhammad, Malcolm X, Muhammad Ali, and Louis Farrakhan there are no reference works such as encyclopedias that are devoted to detailing the organizations key figures and language of its members.

This would be the first publication to list key figures in The Nation of Islam, an organization that has played a major role in reshaping American life. This volume is a resource that can be used to develop new research studies on the Nation of Islam. As the organization continues to evolve it will be important to have a reference work that places the organization in a historical context.

The Encyclopedia will target scholars from a wide range of fields (history, political science, education, journalism, leadership, sociology, psychology, religious studies, ethnic studies, diversity, critical theory, critical race theory, whiteness studies, popular culture, and more.).
