Editor/Author Biographies

Mildrend Montoya-Reyes graduated from Autonomous University of Baja California (UABC); with a Master and a PhD of Science from UABC; and Master in Education degree with a specialty in Organizational Development from the Center for Technical and Higher Education. She has worked as an engineer and business consultant. Currently, she works as a full-time lecturer and researcher at the Industrial Engineering Department of UABC. She is a member of the Teacher Professional Development Program (PRODEP) and a member of the Academic and Research Group "Manufacture and Occupational Health". She has published manuscripts in journals, books, and book chapters and participated as a guest reviewer in international journals. Her research interests include method engineering, process optimization, materials, quality systems, organizational development, ergonomics, and sustainable development.

Ismael Mendoza-Muñoz received his Doctorate of Science from the Universidad Autónoma de Baja California (UABC) in 2018. He is currently a Full-time Lecturer for the UABC and a member of the Sistema Nacional de Investigadores (SNI) as a National Researcher Candidate. He has a Desirable Profile from the Ministry of Public Education and is a member of the Academic Research Group in Consolidation: Manufacturing and Occupational Health. His areas of interest focus on Biomechanics, Design for Manufacturing, Product Development Process, Additive Manufacturing, Sustainable Manufacturing, Materials Science, and Ergonomics.

Gabriela Jacobo-Galicia has a Master’s degree with emphasis in quality and production systems. with professional experience in organizational production system improvements and working in sociotechnical systems focus on psychosocial risks.

Samantha E. Cruz-Sotelo is a professor and researcher at the Autonomous University of Baja California (UABC). Member to the Mexican National Researcher System, Level I. She is a founding member of the Mexican Society of Science and Applied Technology Solid Waste (SOMERS) and member of the Ibero-American Network of Engineering in Environmental Sanitation (REDISA). She has published manuscripts in journals, books and book-chapters and participated as a guest editor of special issues in the international journals. Her research interests are in the areas of Optimization of Productive Processes, Sustainable Development, Life Cycle Assessment, Circular Economy, Sustainable Manufacture, Electronic Waste Management, Artificial Intelligence Tools.
