Editor/Author Biographies

Ana Azevedo is an associate professor in the Information Systems Department, ISCAP/ Polytechnic of Porto, Porto, Portugal, teaching E-Commerce, Decision Support Systems, Business Intelligence and Introduction to Databases Systems courses. She holds a PhD in Information Systems and Technologies, University of Minho, Portugal. She is a member of CEOS.PP Research Center. She published several articles in journals, conferences, and book chapters, as well as edited books. She is associate editor of the International Journal of Technology and Human Interaction (IJTHI). She is a member of the Editorial Review Board of the International Journal of Decision Support System Technology (IJDSST), of the International Journal of Business Intelligence Research (IJBIR), of the International Journal of Grid and Utility Computing (IJGUC), and of the Electronic Journal of e-Learning (EJEL). She also serves as a regular reviewer for several journals and conferences. Her primary areas of research interests are Decision Support Systems, Data mining, Business Intelligence, and Analytics. Her research interests also include e assessment and gender issues in information systems research.

Jose Manuel Azevedo is a lecturer in the Mathematics Department, ISCAP/ Polytechnic Institute of Porto, Porto, Portugal, since 1998. In 1990 he obtained the graduation in Educational Mathematics at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto, Porto, Portugal. In 1999 he obtained MSc in Mathematics at the Lusíada University, Porto, Portugal. He obtain is PhD in Education (Mathematics) at the University of Beira Interior, Covilhã, Portugal. He teaches subjects such as: Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics and Algebra. His research interests are Mathematics Education, E-assessment, Financial Mathematics, Financial Time Series, Data Mining, Analytics and e-learning. He published several articles in journals and conferences. He is a member of the program committee of several conferences in his areas of research. In addition, he also serves as a reviewer for some journals and conferences. Researcher at CEOS.PP Research Center.
