Editor/Author Biographies

Brij B. Gupta received PhD degree from Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, India in the area of Information and Cyber Security. In 2009, he was selected for Canadian Commonwealth Scholarship award by Government of Canada. He has published more than 150 research papers (including 04 books and 18 book chapters) in International Journals and Conferences of high repute including IEEE, Elsevier, ACM, Springer, Wiley, Taylor & Francis, Inderscience, etc. He has visited several countries, i.e. Canada, Japan, Australia, China, Spain, Hong-Kong, Italy, Malaysia, Macau, etc. to present his research work. His biography was selected and published in the 30th Edition of Marquis Who's Who in the World, 2012. In addition, he has been selected to receive 2017 Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award’ by Marquis Who's Who in the World, USA. Dr. Gupta also received Sir Visvesvaraya Young Faculty Research Fellowship Award in 2017 from Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, government of India. Recently, he has been awarded with ‘2018 Best Faculty Award for research activities’ and ‘2018 Best Faculty Award for Project and Laboratory Development’ from National Institute of Technology Kurukshetra, India. He is also working as principal investigator of various R&D projects sponsored by various government of India funding agencies. He is serving as Associate editor of IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics, IEEE Access, and Executive editor of IJITCA, Inderscience, respectively. Moreover, Dr. Gupta is also leading International Journal of Cloud Applications and Computing (IJCAC), IGI Global, USA as Editor-in-Chief. He is also serving as reviewer for various Journals of IEEE, Springer, Wiley, Taylor & Francis, etc. He also served as TPC Chair of 2018 IEEE INFOCOM: CCSNA, USA. Moreover, he served as publicity chair of 10th NSS 2016, 17th IFSA-SCIS 2017 which were held in Taiwan and Japan, respectively. He is also founder chair of FISP and ISCW workshops which organize in different countries every year. Dr. Gupta is serving as organizing Chair of Special Session on Recent Advancements in Cyber Security (SS-CBS) in IEEE Global Conference on Consumer Electronics (GCCE), Japan every year since 2014. Dr. Gupta received outstanding paper awards in both regular and student categories in 5th IEEE Global Conference on Consumer Electronics (GCCE) in Kyoto, Japan during Oct. 7-10, 2016. Dr. Gupta is Senior member of IEEE, Member ACM, SIGCOMM, SDIWC, Internet Society, Institute of Nanotechnology, Life Member, International Association of Engineers (IAENG), Life Member, International Association of Computer Science and Information Technology (IACSIT). He was also visiting researcher with Yamaguchi University, Japan, with Deakin University, Australia and with Swinburne University of Technology, Australia during 2015 and 2018, 2017, and 2018, respectively. At present, Dr. Gupta is working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Engineering, National Institute of Technology Kurukshetra India. His research interest includes Information security, Cyber Security, Mobile/Smartphone, Cloud Computing, Web security, Intrusion detection, Computer networks and Phishing.

Dharma P. Agrawal has been serving as the Ohio Board of Regents Distinguished Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computing Systems, University of Cincinnati, OH. He was a Visiting Professor of ECE at the Carnegie Mellon University, on sabbatical leave during the autumn 2006 and winter 2007 Quarters. He has been a faculty member at North Carolina State University, (1982- 1998) and Wayne State University, (1977-1982). He has been a consultant to the General Dynamics Land Systems Division, Battelle, Inc., and the U. S. Army. He has held visiting appointments at AIRMICS, Atlanta, GA, and the AT&T Advanced Communications Laboratory, Whippany, NJ. He has published a number of papers in the areas of Parallel System Architecture, Multicomputer Networks, Routing Techniques, Parallelism Detection and Scheduling Techniques, Reliability of Real-Time Distributed Systems, Modeling of C-MOS Circuits, and Computer Arithmetic. His recent research interests include applications of sensor networks in monitoring Parkinson’s disease patients and neurosis, applications of sensor networks in monitoring fitness of athletes’ personnel wellness, applications of sensor networks in monitoring firefighters physical condition in action, efficient secured communication in Sensor networks, secured group communication in Vehicular Networks, use of Femto cells in LTE technology and interference issues, heterogeneous wireless networks, and resource allocation and security in mesh networks for 4G technology. He has eight approved patents, one personal pending patent and twenty four patent filings in the area of wireless cellular networks. He received B.S. in Electrical Engineering from National Institute of Technology, Raipur, India, in 1966, M.S. (Honors) in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, India, in 1968, and the D. Sc. Electrical Engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Lausanne, Switzerland, in 1975. He has been very active professionally. He has co-authored several books and delivered keynote speeches at 40 different international conferences. He has published 675 papers, given 57 different tutorials and extensive training courses in various conferences in USA, and numerous institutions in Taiwan, Korea, Jordan, UAE, Malaysia, and India in the areas of Ad hoc and Sensor Networks and Mesh Networks, including security issues. He has been appointed as the founding Editor-in-Chief of the Central European Journal of Computer Science, Versita.
