Editor/Author Biographies
Richard Pettinger is Professor at the University College London, School of Management London, UK. His teaching interests are: Management Education, HRM, employee relations, principles of management, project management, managing in a socio technological environment. His research interests: society, technology and behavior; behavioral impacts on investment and business decisions; leadership expertise; performance management; organization; profession and professionalization of management. He is Director of MSci Information Management for Business; director of MSc Telecoms with Business: organization design, people, and innovation management. He joined UCL in 1989: worked in Bartlett School as lecturer and teaching fellow before joining the School of Management in 2001. First Principal Teaching Fellow (Teaching Reader/Associate Professor) ever appointed by UCL. He was appointed Professor in 2019. He is external examiner at: Kent University, Singapore Polytechnic, University of Greenwich, University of the Creative Arts, University of Reading. His most recent publication is: The Socio Economic Foundations of Sustainable Business: Managing in the Fourth Industrial Revolution (London, Palgrave Macmillan October 2020 ISBN 978-3-030-39274-1). Summary Richard Pettinger is Professor of Management Education at University College London (UCL). He has worked at UCL for over 30 years. He continues to teach foundations and practices of management, project management, leadership and organizational behavior. He is presently developing research, publication and syllabus-based work on the relationships between society, technology, behavior and business; and on business as a social infrastructure. This is in turn reflecting the seismic shifts in society, business practice and organizational activities and effectiveness as the result of the present pandemic and its effects on society, activities and business development. To date Richard has published over fifty books and numerous articles on all aspects of management and leadership. He delivers at least one conference keynote speech a year. He continues to work in many different parts of the world, including Cyprus, China; South Africa, Singapore, Hong Kong, Spain, Italy, Poland, France, Germany and Romania.

Brij B. Gupta working as Director of International Center for AI and Cyber Security Research and Innovations, and Distinguished Professor with the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering (CSIE), Asia University, Taiwan. In more than 17 years of his professional experience, he published over 500 papers in journals/conferences including 35 books and 12 Patents with over 25,000 citations. He has received numerous national and international awards including Canadian Commonwealth Scholarship (2009), Faculty Research Fellowship Award (2017), MeitY, GoI, IEEE GCCE outstanding and WIE paper awards and Best Faculty Award (2018 & 2019), NIT KKR, respectively. Prof. Gupta was selected for Clarivate Web of Science Highly Cited Researchers in Computer Science (top 0.1% researchers in the world) consecutively in 2022 and 2023. Also, he was also selected in Stanford University's ranking of the world's top 2% scientists consecutively in 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023. He is also a visiting/adjunct professor with several universities worldwide. He is also an IEEE Senior Member (2017) and also selected as 2021 Distinguished Lecturer in IEEE CTSoc. Dr Gupta is also serving as Member-in-Large, Board of Governors, IEEE Consumer Technology Society (2022-2024). Prof Gupta is also leading IJSWIS, IJSSCI, STE and IJCAC as Editor-in-Chief. Moreover, he is also serving as lead-editor of a Book Series with CRC and IET press. He also served as TPC members in more than 150 international conferences also serving as Associate/Guest Editor of various journals and transactions. His research interests include information security, Cyber physical systems, cloud computing, blockchain technologies, intrusion detection, AI, social media and networking.
Alexandru Roja is an Associate Professor at West University Timisoara Romania and Babes Bolyai University in Cluj Napoca Romania. He also currently serves as the Head of Innovation and Digital Transformation at the Transylvania IT Cluster. He is PhD in Strategic Management, based on research scholarship at the Université de Lille in 2010 and Université Pierre Mendès-France (Grenoble II) in 2012. His PhD thesis is focused on the emergence of virtual organizations. He is certified by the Kauffman FastTrack Certification, Entrepreneurship Kauffman FastTrack Certification, and Entrepreneurship in 2014. Other qualifications: Leadership for Public Service at the Aspen Institute; Certificate on Communication and Negotiation at l'Ena Ecole Nationale de Administration Paris; Business Modelling for Shared Values Ecosystems, FSG Harvard; SEA Certificate on Social Entrepreneurship at the Munchen University. Alexandru has functioned as Postdoctoral Researcher at the Université de Lille years 2014-2015. He has completed his Postdoctoral Research in Management at the Bucharest Academy of Management Studies, focusing on start-ups. He teaches entrepreneurship courses for doctoral students and leads several entrepreneurship related initiatives. Since 2018 he serves as Expert at the European Research Council, European Commission for the Horizon 2020 program. As Head of Innovation and Digital Transformation at the Transylvania IT Cluster: Digital Public Services Development and Innovation with Technical University of Cluj - Napoca, Transylvania Digital Innovation Hub and Cluj - Napoca City Hall; Transylvania Digital Innovation Hub strategy development and EU application; Transylvania Living Lab strategy development and operational management; Member of the board for Cluj - Napoca Digital Transformation Strategy; 2020-2027 development Digital Transformation Model and Strategy Development for Cluj - Napoca City Hall; Cluj Future of Work - Urban Innovative Action project responsible for Digital Transformation curricula development and implementation for culturepreneurs and Work 4.0 future competences for SMEs; HEInnovate Project - RIS3 Innovation and Entrepreneurship for Public Administration and Higher Education; ROCK Cultural Heritage Digital Innovation and Tools - Horizon 2020 project; DIH2 - Robotics and Artificial Intelligence for Agile Manufacturing - Horizon 2020 project; BOWI - Boosting Digital Innovation in Europe - Connecting Digital Innovation Hubs and SMEs; Open Innovation Ecosystem development. Diana Cozmiuc has blended her academic career with corporate career. She was an intern at Alcatel, and then university assistant. Her next jobs were as Financial Analyst at Siemens VDO Automotive and then at Continental Automotive. Main achievements have been conducting the planning and analysis process fully for a 250 million Euros per annum, and then six hundred million Euros per annum. Whereas daily activities have involved analyzing variances to planning, a more challenging task has been setting the planning targets for marketing and purchasing activities on a worldwide basis. Other challenging tasks include the Budget Booklet, a 200 pages report from the Siemens VDO board to the business CEO covering strategic analyses, market analyses, geographical analyses, variance analyses. Diana Cozmiuc has been involved in reporting for 4 billion euros per annum joint venture since early years. Diana Cozmiuc has been involved in all levels of an international business bottom up managing responsibility centers and their interface with upper management, an international business line and its interface with the Siemens Board, or top bottom, setting targets and questioning variance analyses and scorecard reports. She has also worked closely with all functional areas and their processes, in setting targets, analyzing variances, analyzing key performance indicators, or conducting performance improvement programs. She has also interfaced closely with quotations, business controlling and investment requests in projects or operations. She returned to the university for her PHD, and worked as university assistant for 3 years of the program. One of the articles in the PhD thesis has received thirty-three citations and is rated pioneer. Other four chapters in books have been republished by the Information Resources Management Association in USA. She was awarded part of the best management authors in Romania 2017-2018 and 2019-2020 by the Management Academy SAMRO. She has taken part in an effort research by SAMRO to help organizations manage the Covid effort published in a book; contribution: digitalization and investing in cloud and automation enterprise architecture. She has worked as ad-hoc reviewer for Emerald Competitiveness Review journal; ad-hoc reviewer for two Information Resources Management Association in USA journals, International Journal of E-Business Research (IJEBR) and International Journal of Digital Strategy, Governance, and Business Transformation (one is indexed Web of Science). She is member of the Harvard Business Review Board.
