Reviews & Statements

Computer scientists explore fundamental and applied research in geographical information systems (GIS) for students, instructors, researchers, and anyone interested in using or understanding such systems. Among the topics are GIS use for mapping land degradation: a review of research carried out in Tunisia, an enhanced fuzzy-perceptory approach for dealing with geographic data imprecision from conceptual modeling to fuzzy geographical database building, extracting knowledge from geographical databases to produce land use data, geospatial and spatio-temporal analysis in health research, and a paradigm of improving land information management.
