Editor/Author Biographies
Shiguo Lian got his PhD degree in multimedia security from Nanjing University of Science and Technology (China)(July 2005). He was a research assistant in City University of Hong Kong(2004). He has been with France Telecom R&D (Orange Labs) Beijing since July 2005. He is the author or co-author of more than 50 refereed journal and conference papers covering topics of multimedia security, network security and intelligent services, including lightweight cryptography, digital rights management (DRM), secure content sharing, intelligent multimedia services and security, etc. He has contributed 9 chapters to books and held 7 filed patents. He is a member of IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers), SPIE (The International Society for Optical Engineering), EURASIP (The European Association for Signal Image Processing) and Chinese Image and Graphics Association. He is a member of IEEE ComSoc Communications & Information Security Technical Committee (CIS TC), IEEE Computer Society's TC on Security and Privacy and multimedia communications Technical Committee (MMTC). He is on the editor board of International Journal of Universal Computer Science, International Journal of Multimedia and Ubiquitous Engineering, and International Journal of Security and Its Applications. He is a co-editor of special issue on "Secure Multimedia Communication" in Journal of Security and Communication Network, and co-editor of special issue on "Multimedia Security in Communication (MUSIC)" in Journal of Universal Computer Science. He is also a member of Technical Committees of some refereed conferences, including IEEE ICC2008, IEEE GLOBECOM2008, MoMM'2008, IPMC'08, UIC-08, MUSIC'08, CASNET 2008, SAM'08 and SecPri_WiMob 2008, etc. He is also the reviewer of some refereed international journals and conferences.
Yan Zhang received the BS degree in communication engineering from the Nanjing University of Post and Telecommunications (China); the M.S. degree in electrical engineering from the Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (China); and a PhD degree in School of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Nanyang Technological University (Singapore). He is associate editor of Security and Communication Networks (Wiley); on the editorial board of International Journal of Network Security, Transactions on Internet and Information Systems (TIIS), International Journal of Autonomous and Adaptive Communications Systems (IJAACS) and International Journal of Smart Home (IJSH). He is currently serving the Book Series Editor for the book series on "Wireless Networks and Mobile Communications" (Auerbach Publications, CRC Press, Taylor and Francis Group). He has served as co-editor for several books. He serves as organizing committee chairs and technical program committee for many international conferences. He received the Best Paper Award and Outstanding Service Award as Symposium Chair in the IEEE 21st International Conference on Advanced Information Networking and Applications (IEEE AINA-07). From August 2006, he is working with Simula Research Laboratory, Norway. His research interests include resource, mobility, spectrum, data, energy, and security management in wireless networks and mobile computing. He is a member of IEEE and IEEE ComSoc.
