This book focuses on American elementary education. The American education system is struggling. High teacher attrition rates, low pay, low respect, large classes, and constantly shifting teaching standards make teaching difficult. Despite this, college students attend teacher preparation institutes and teachers enter the classroom wanting to make an impact on the lives of students. This manual provides ideas, grounded in the literature, on ways in which teachers can develop and deliver fun and impactful learning experiences that increase students’ conceptual understanding.
