Reviews & Statements

Computer scientists predict that applications of the Internet of Things in healthcare will group around tasks of tracing and tracking objects and people, identifying and authenticating people, and automatic data collection and sensing. Their topics include background on context-aware computing systems, hybrid integration technology for wearable sensor systems, the role of time in health Internet of Things, thing theory: connecting humans to smart healthcare, and social Internet of Things in healthcare: from things to social things in Internet of Things.

– Protoview Reviews

The Advances in Medical Technologies and Clinical Practice (AMTCP) book series covers the latest research on new and emerging medical technologies within clinical studies, diagnostics, and more. This volume in the series focuses specifically on the networking and technological potential of the Internet within the healthcare industry. Ten chapters examine different topics relating to the innovations and challenges of the Internet of Things (IoT) and the way they relate with various healthcare needs and capabilities. Chapters discuss the IoT in the context of such things as Assistive Technology (AT), wearable health monitoring systems, and air quality.
