Linda Daniela - Dr. Daniela is the professor and senior researcher at the University of Latvia; Chair of the Council for Promotion in Pedagogy of the University of Latvia; Head of the Scientific Institute of Pedagogy; Expert of Education at the Council of Sciences of the Republic of Latvia. Her research interests include virtual education, smart education, educational technologies for learning, educational robotics, educational processes and solutions for reducing social exclusion from the educational processes. Professor is an author and co-author of publications about processes in all dimensions of education. She has been involved in several projects, she is an editor and co-editor of several books and journals, and she is a scientific adviser for doctoral and master thesis.
Miltiadis D. Lytras is a Research Professor at the American College of Greece, Research Professor, Deree College - The American College of Greece, Greece, a Distinguished Scientist, King Abdulaziz University, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Visiting Research Professor, University of Science and Technology China, Hefei, China, Visiting Researcher, Effat University, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, LABEX Research Fellow, UTC, Sorbonne Universities, France and High Value Expert Fellow, Tianjin University, Tianjin, China. With his research background including empowerment through learning innovation and blended education as well as cognitive computing, information systems, and technology enabled innovation, Dr. Lytras brings the very much needed modern technology related expertise to this Special Issue, which coupled with his experience and expertise in the Arab World, make him perfectly suited to serve as a Guest Co-editor of this Special Issue.
