Editor/Author Biographies
Md Abul Barkat has received his PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences (Pharmaceutics) from Integral University Lucknow, India, in the year 2016. He has completed his Masters in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Hamdard University, New Delhi, India. He has more than 6 years of research experience in the field of Pharmaceutics. His major areas of research interest include herbal and silver based development and characterization of diverse nanostructured systems, controlled release drug delivery systems, bioenhanced drug delivery systems, nanomaterials and nanocomposites. Till date he has authored more than 14 publications in various peer-reviewed journals, 3 book chapters, 2 books and 1 US & Indian patent application to his credit. Dr. Barkat has also participated and presented his research work at conferences in India, Canada, and Spain.
Mrs. Harshita AB has been working as an Assistant Professor in the department of Pharmaceutics, School of Medical & Allied Sciences, K.R. Mangalam University, Sohna Gurgaon, Delhi-NCR, India. She has received her M. Pharm (Pharmaceutics) in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India, in the year 2016. Her major areas of research interest include Nanomedicine based formulation design, development, optimization and characterization for the management of liver cancer and triple-negative breast cancer. Till date she has authored more than 16 Research publications in various peer-reviewed journals, two book chapters, one book and one Indian patent published to her credit. She has also participated and presented his research work at conferences in India and abroad.
Sarwar Beg has over 7 years of research experience in the field of pharmaceutics, especially systematic development and characterization of diverse nanostructured drug delivery systems, controlled release drug delivery systems, bioenhanced drug delivery systems, nanomaterials and nanocomposites employing Quality by Design and Design of Experiments approaches. Currently, he is working as the Research Scientist at Jubilant Generics Limited, Noida, U.P., India. Till date he has authored over 95 publications in various high impact peer-reviewed journals, 25 book chapters, 5 books and 3 Indian patent applications to his credit. He is also serving as an Editorial Board Member of the journal Current Nanomedicine and Nanotech Research Letters, besides JSM-Bioavailability and Bioequivalence Journal. Overall, he has earned highly impressive published and cited record (Google Scholar H-Index: 16). Dr Beg has also participated and presented his research work at over ten conferences in India, USA, Canada, and bagged several best paper awards and young scientist awards to his credit.

Farhan Jalees Ahmad did his post graduation and Doctorate in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Department of Pharmaceutics, Hamdard University. Dr. Ahmad has a 23 years of rich experience in Research and Teaching. He has experience of industrial research through his fruitful association with Ranbaxy Research Laboratories for six long years as Scientist. His domain of research therein included development, scale-up, technology transfer and launching of pharmaceutical products, both for domestic and international markets.

He joined Hamdard University as a lecturer in the year 1998 and was very soon selected as an Associate Professor in 2003 and promoted to Professor in 2009. He is working in the area of Nanomedicine for the last 12 years and has published a number of research papers on nanomedicine in peer reviewed journals. Two of his nanoproducts are approved by Drug Controller of India for Phase-II clinical studies. He has organized International conferences like Indo-US Symposium of Cancer Nanotechnology in Feb 2009 and more than 20 National symposiums, workshops and seminars. Besides, he is also working on amalgamation of herbal medicinal plants with modern therapeutics in order to deliver a scientifically acceptable therapy for various diseases.
