Editor/Author Biographies
António C. Moreira obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master’s degree in Management, both from the University of Porto, Portugal. He received his PhD in Management from UMIST-University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology, England. He has a solid international background in industry leveraged working for a multinational company in Germany as well as in Portugal. He has also been involved in consultancy projects and in research activities. He is Assistant Professor at the Department of Economics, Management, Industrial Engineering, and Tourism, University of Aveiro, Portugal, where he headed the Bachelor and Master Degrees in Management for five years. He is member of GOVCOPP research unit.
José Guilherme Leitão Dantas has a degree in Organization and Business Management from the Technical University of Lisbon, Portugal, a M.B.A in International Management from Autonomous University of Lisbon, Portugal, and a PhD in Economical and Managerial Sciences from the Autonomous University of Madrid, Spain. He is Associate Professor at the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria and he also has an extensive entrepreneurial and managerial experience in companies of various sectors of the economy. He is the author and co-author of several books and articles, mainly in the areas of innovation and entrepreneurship, and works also as trainer and independent consultant in the areas of strategy, marketing and innovation.
Fernando Manuel Valente has a Master in Industrial Management and Strategy from the School of Economics and Management, University of Lisbon, Portugal. He is Associate Professor at the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal - High School of Technology of Setúbal, in the field of Business Science. He has, also, managerial experience in a private company and had managed their own businesses. He has participated in several international projects sponsored by the UE and in multiple events related to the areas of innovation and entrepreneurship. He had coordinated a supporting unit for entrepreneurship during four years and is a board member of some organizations.
