Editor/Author Biographies

Miltiadis D. Lytras, Dr., is an Associate Professor at Deree- ACG with a research focus on semantic web, knowledge management and e-learning, with more than 100 publications. He has co-edited more than 45 special issues in international journals (IEEE Transaction on Knowledge and Data Engineering; IEEE Internet Computing; IEEE Transactions on Education;, Computers in Human Behaviour; Interactive Learning Environments; Journal of Knowledge Management; Journal of Computer Assisted Learning) and has authored/edited 42 books (e.g. Open Source for Knowledge and Learning Management; Ubiquitous and Pervasive Knowledge Management; Intelligent Learning Infrastructures for Knowledge Intensive Organizations; Semantic Web Based Information Systems; China Information Technology Handbook; Real World Applications of Semantic Web and Ontologies; Web 2.0: The Business Model; etc.). He has served as an Editor in Chief of 8 international journals (e.g. International Journal on Semantic Web and Information Systems, International Journal of Knowledge Society Research, International Journal of Knowledge and Learning, International Journal of Technology Enhanced Learning).

Naif R. Aljohani is Assistant Professor and Head of Department of Information Systems at the Faculty of Computing and Information Technology in King Abdul Aziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Southampton, UK. He received the Bachelor’s degree in Computer Education from King Abdul Aziz University, 2005. In 2009, he received the Master degree in Computer Networks from La Trobe University, Australia. His research interests are in the areas of mobile and ubiquitous computing, mobile and ubiquitous learning, learning and knowledge analytics, semantic web, Web Science, technology enhanced learning and human computer interaction. He has more than 40 research publications.

Ernesto Damiani joined Khalifa as Director of the Information Security Center. He is on extended leave from the Department of Computer Science, Università degli Studi di Milano, Italy, where he leads the SESAR research lab. Ernesto's research interests include secure service-oriented architectures, privacy-preserving Big Data analytics and Cyber-Physical Systems security. Ernesto has held visiting positions at many international institutions, including George Mason University, US; Tokyo Denki University, Japan; LaTrobe University, Australia; and the Institut National des Sciences Appliquées (INSA) at Lyon, France. He has been Principal Investigator many large-scale research projects funded by the European Commission, the Italian Ministry of Research and by private companies such as British Telecom; Cisco Systems; SAP; Telecom Italia; Siemens Networks (now Nokia Siemens) and others. In 2008, Ernesto was nominated ACM Distinguished Scientist and received the Chester Sall Award from the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society. In 2016 he received the Services Society Stephen Yau Award. Ernesto has co-authored over 400 scientific papers and many books.

Kwok Tai Chui received the B.Eng. degree in Electronic and Communication Engineering – Business Intelligence Minor, with first-class honor, from City University of Hong Kong in 2013, where he is a Ph.D. candidate and is fully completed at the winter in 2017. He was the recipient of international awards in several IEEE events. For instance, he received the 2nd Prize Award (Postgraduate Category) of 2014 IEEE Region 10 Student Paper Contest, and Best Paper Award in IEEE The International Conference on Consumer Electronics-China, in both 2014 and 2015. He has been serving as Guest Editors in Journal of Internet Technology, Managing Editor inInternational Journal on Semantic Web and Information Systemss, International Advisory Board in International Journal of Healthcare Information Systems and Informatics, Editorial Advisory Board in Journal of Science and Technology Policy Management, Associate Editor in International Journal of User-Driven Healthcare and International Journal of Public Health Management and Ethics, Editorial Review Board of 6 journals, Technical Program Committee in The International Conference on Biomedical Engineering and Biotechnology (since 2015), The International Conference on Electronics, Communications and Networks (since 2016) and Wireless Telecommunications Symposium (since 2016).
