Description & Coverage
Description:

Measurement techniques form the basis of scientific, engineering, and industrial innovations. The methods and instruments of measurement for different fields are constantly improving, and it’s necessary to address not only their significance but also the challenges and issues associated with them.

Strategic Applications of Measurement Technologies and Instrumentation is a collection of innovative research on the methods and applications of measurement techniques in medical and scientific discoveries, as well as modern industrial applications. The book is divided into two sections with the first focusing on the significance of measurement strategies in physics and biomedical applications and the second examining measurement strategies in industrial applications. Highlighting a range of topics including material assessment, measurement strategies, and nanoscale materials, this book is ideally designed for engineers, academicians, researchers, scientists, software developers, graduate students, and industry professionals.

Editor/Author Biographies
Soubantika Palchoudhury is an Assistant Professor in the Civil and Chemical Engineering Department of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Her research focuses on developing new nanoscale architectures, understanding their structure-property relations, and their interactions with the environment. She has been a faculty member at UTC since 2015. Prior to joining UTC, she did three years of postdoctoral research at The University of Alabama, the University of South Carolina, and at Yale University. She earned her Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from The University of Alabama in 2012 and bachelors in Chemical Engineering from National Institute of Technology, Durgapur, India in 2008. Her work aims to integrate material science and biological methods to engineer smart nanoparticles for therapeutic, energy, and environmental applications. She has published 26 papers and four book chapters. Her research has featured as a cover art in Chem Comm and has been highlighted in Nature. She has won state grants and has several established national and international research collaborations. She is a reviewer for a number of nanoscience journals such as APL, JAP, Dalton Transac., Langmuir, RSC Adv., and ES&T.
