Editor/Author Biographies
Seda Khadimally specializes in Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL) and second language acquisition, with a focus on teaching English as a Second/Foreign Language (ESL/EFL) to speakers of other languages. She has designed, delivered, and evaluated instruction, by continuous use of educational technologies (both online and blended learning) as she has taught her nontraditional and diverse groups of English language learners for 19 years now. Her expertise is teaching ESL/ELL of all ages with support of emerging educational technologies, and her focus is on teaching these diverse groups of learners with mobile learning (m-learning) technologies. The editor is a published author in prominent journals, as well as a book reviewer and Editorial Advisory Board (EAB) members in renowned journal publications and other scholarly works in the pertinent field. She has thus far presented her discipline-specific research in an array of regional, national, and international conferences at acclaimed public and private educational institutions. With a second master’s degree in the field of Educational Technologies from Harvard University in MA along with her previous employment in this area, as well as her former adult ESL instructor positions both at Rice University in TX and Stanford University in CA have significantly contributed to her current experiences, skills, and expertise in the field of technology-assisted ESL acquisition and development of nontraditional learners. Finally, Seda has currently been working on completing her doctoral dissertation focused in adult ESL students’ English language learning experiences as they utilize mobile technologies in their learning processes.
