Adsorptive conversion of heat energy is a promising technical solution for maximal full use of all possible heat energy resources, including low-potential ones. The present monograph is focused on the key challenge for technology of adsorptive heat energy conversion, i.e., overcoming the gap between laboratory prototype of adsorptive converter and semi-commercial or commercial devices. The ways to solve the pivotal problems such as development of new adsorbents ‘porous matrix – salt’ with increased adsorption capacity and heat of adsorption, as well as new mathematical models and calculation methods which allow to estimate integrally the efficiency of the adsorptive heat energy converter and to choose the most effective mode of operation of the adsorption unit under the conditions of convenient systems of heating, ventilating, and conditioning are suggested. The present book will be useful for experts in heat power engineering, heat supply, ventilation, air-conditioning, and refrigeration engineering, in processes and apparatus of chemical engineering, for students and postgraduates studying in heat power engineering, heat supply, ventilation, air-conditioning, and refrigeration engineering.
