Introduction
Water is an essential part of human life; it guards body organs and tissues and can be well defined as the end product of the agricultural fields. The basic meaning of aquaculture is breeding, raising, and harvesting fish, shellfish, and aquatic plants. Mostly, it means farming in water. Aquaculture in America provides an environment which is responsible for producing food and marketable products, which further helps in creating better healthier habitants, which is again useful in rebuilding and is used to rebuild frameworks for helpless or endangered species.

Artificial Intelligence is a field which helps in detecting underwater pollution and informs the farmers in advance so that they can well prepare before a bad environment harms the aquaculture. By using this way, farmers who are dealing with fishes they can send their expert machines or robots to handle the situation. AI and machine learning technologies can further help in improving the situation of overexploited fish species by using data collection and later implement that data in justifiable harvesting methods. In short, artificial intelligence helps in refining aquaculture to learning farmers so that they can understand the steps of how their inputs distress fish growth under numerous conditions. The participation of AI can knowingly decrease overfishing using data collection methods in harvesting practices. Several aquaculture practices are used globally. They are freshwater, brackish, water, and marine with a great diversity of culture organisms.



Objective
The aim of this Special Issue “AI in Aquaculture” is to show new expansions and applications of artificial intelligence in the field of aquaculture. Editors of this special issue want to promote the latest research and developments in aquaculture industry using AI by publishing high quality research papers in this interesting and interdisciplinary field. Editors welcome both the original research papers and review articles.

Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit papers for this special theme issue on Artificial Intelligence in Aquaculture: Challenges and Opportunities on or before May 2nd, 2022. All submissions must be original and may not be under review by another publication. All submitted papers will be reviewed on a double-blind, peer review basis. Papers must follow APA style for reference citations.
