Abstract

Artificial intelligence (AI) has become disruptive in many industries, revolutionising how businesses function and make choices. Human resources (HR) and talent acquisition are areas where AI is gaining traction. This chapter will focus on the use of AI in HR and talent acquisition, outlining its history and analysing the urgent demand for AI-driven HR solutions. Understanding AI's function in HR begins by acknowledging its capacity to improve and complement human resource management procedures. Systems can perform a variety of previously labour- and time-intensive operations for HR experts owing to machine learning algorithms, natural language processing (NLP), and data analytics. These duties include finding candidates, assessing resumes, onboarding new employees, analysing performance, and forecasting attrition.
