Abstract

The use of artificial intelligence (AI) has bought a major shift in in financial technology (FinTech). To take advantage of growing popularity, it is crucial to understand the factors that drive adoption toward contactless payments among users. This study aims to propose the key drivers of user's intention to adopt AI enabled contactless payments. The comprehensive review of literature and expert opinion was carried out to figure out the key drivers of adopting AI enabled contactless payments. A total of five key adoption drivers relevant in context of AI enabled contactless payment have been proposed. The proposed key drivers were prioritised using Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process. This study is amongst the pioneer studies in exploring and prioritising the key drivers influencing adoption of AI enabled contactless payment services among users. Results of the present study will be fruitful for both the industry and academics. It will apprise service providers about the critical drivers that need to be prioritised to boost user adoption.
