Abstract

The incorporation of Artificial Intelligence in modern education has revolutionized the learning experience, but it also raises concerns about widening existing gaps in education, particularly in terms of gender and geographical location. This research delves into the effects of AI on students and educators, with a focus on the unequal access to digital technologies and its consequences for education. Our findings indicate notable differences in AI performance based on gender and location, with male students and urban areas performing better than their female and rural counterparts. We investigate how AI can both reduce and amplify existing disparities, and suggest approaches to ensure that the benefits of AI are shared fairly.
