Abstract

Female professors frequently experience extreme pressure and stressors when managing multiple duties, both personal and professional. They also think that they are more constrained because of their domestic duties. In fulfilling the demands of their personal and professional roles, female professors often struggle to maintain their self-care and emotional balance. This chapter has attempted to look into the self-care and emotional balance among female professors of two distinct groups, viz., 10 married female professors and 10 unmarried female professors, to explore whether there are any similarities and/or differences in their themes, and with the help of this thematic analysis, findings will be discussed.
