Abstract

It explores the contribution of millennials in the development of companies.

Theoretical Framework

Millennials

The millennial generation has been immersed in the boom in connectivity, the development of social networks, they are close to social and environmental causes. Some of the global icons of this generation include Mark Zuckerberg, co-creator and CEO of Facebook; Lionel Messi awarded several times as the best soccer player in the world; Rihanna, the youngest artist to achieve 14 songs in Billboard magazine's top position; Malala Yousafzai, Nobel Prize winner for her fight for women's rights and Nathan Blecharczyk co-founder of AirB&B (msn dinero, 2018).

Approach to the Definition of Millennials

Millennials, a generic name for people born between 1981 and 1996, reach adulthood into the 21st century, and by 2019 they were between 23 and 38 years old (Dimock, 2019). According to (Innovation Center BBVA, 2015) by 2025 they will be 75% of the workforce. And they are the calls to lead the destinies of a planet and of the companies that are going through movements and changes of a social, political, economic, and environmental order of great importance.

Skills: Set of abilities possible to be developed by human beings allowing progress, advancement, or improvement to be achieved in a condition whether human, physical, mental, emotional, technical, personal, professional or group.

Megatrends: They can be defined as the set of beliefs and events with effects of global order that influence the way of conceiving the world and influence the behaviour of small or large population groups, managing to modify the determined social, economic, political and environmental order, technological and even legal.

Sustainable Development Goals: They are the highest purposes of a global order that seek the search for a planet aimed at seeking in the present the well-being of humans and future generations without less care of natural resources.

Millennials: Is the population generation born between 1981 and 1996, called by some as the generation of social networks, characterized by short exposure to technology, prone to socialize and share their tastes, opinions, share their daily experiences, with clear definition of making your own personal and work decisions.

Values: Values are spoken of as those basic beliefs that allow the interpretation of the world, and what gives meaning to all events throughout our own experience. It is the values that determine our different positions in reference to things or life experiences, or those that allow us to take a position or form a criterion towards one or the other (Olaya, 2002).
