Abstract

This research paper investigates the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) within instructional design (ID), highlighting its potential to enhance learning experiences while maintaining a human-centered approach. It addresses the existing knowledge gap among instructional designers regarding AI applications and aims to develop a framework that aligns AI tools with ID practices. The study employs a mixed-methods approach, combining qualitative and quantitative analyses to assess the impact of AI-assisted design on learner outcomes across various educational contexts. Key findings suggest that AI can automate content creation and personalize learning paths, thereby augmenting the expertise of instructional designers rather than replacing it. Ultimately, this research seeks to empower instructional designers to optimize their workflows and improve learner engagement and achievement through effective AI integration
