Abstract

This chapter attempts to provide teachers with an easy way to create and administer virtual spaces to create online collaborative educational content. This tool will generate and edit educational content that provides better adaptation of courses and activities with a collaborative teaching and learning style. The socio-constructivist approach aims at concentrating the activities on the learners and facilitating the synchronous and asynchronous collaboration between them. At this level, it is therefore necessary to find a method that favors all types of collaborative activities.

Introduction

Our goal is to provide teachers with an easy way to create and administer virtual spaces to create online collaborative educational content. This tool will generate and edit educational content that provides better adaptation of courses and activities with a collaborative teaching and learning style. The socio-constructivist approach aims at concentrating the activities on the learners and thus facilitating the synchronous and asynchronous collaboration between them, at this level it is therefore necessary to find a method that favors all types of collaborative activities.

To achieve these expectations, we aim to develop an IT environment in which teachers can design and put online their educational projects as well as export to other environments supporting the same specification and which will constitute a space for collaboration and construction collective knowledge. In addition, it will enable learners to generate collaborative learning products online. The system we are developing will still allow learners to work in groups on a very rich educational space for online communication and collaboration tools, why? Because it includes several tools (Forum, Chat, Mail ...) which are indispensable means for collaborative work.

To achieve this goal we will try to present a design of our system that can meet our expectations and at the same time to establish links between project pedagogy, collaborative online learning and the IMS-LD specification (Instructural Managed System - Learning Design) and further clarify the different roles of the actors and define a structure of educational projects to ensure compatibility with IMS-LD.

First we will start by defining the structure of the educational projects that can be supported by the system, remember that the projects that will consist of tasks and sub-tasks must meet the conditions for them to be implemented in a simple way and effective in the system.

Secondly, we will present the relationship between project pedagogy and the structure of educational projects and further adapt them with the IMS-LD specification.

And finally, we will move on to present and define the different roles of teachers and learners in our system.
