Abstract

Hypermedia technology is increasingly being used as a vehicle to deliver instruction. All hypermedia involves the integration of hypertext with images, video, sounds, animation and simulations, i.e., multimedia. Hypermedia offers many potential benefits to teachers for delivering instruction. However, to develop effective instruction that facilitates learning is not trivial. It must be based on sound instructional design principles, research from hypermedia development and multimedia interface design from cognitive psychology.
