Abstract

Young people should present a future, create a human resource for the progress of societies, and protect young people against social risks. At this point, the protection of youth through public policies is one of the main areas of Azerbaijani public policies. The problems faced by young people in access to education and the problems experienced by educated young people in gaining a place in the labor market are some of the main youth problems. In this respect, it is of academic importance to examine the social policies offered by the Government of Azerbaijan for young people. The main framework of the study is the educational status of young people, the general framework of policies for young people, and social policies presented in the face of educational problems.

Azerbaijan Youth

Young people have always been the focus of the disadvantaged groups that need to be protected for the Azerbaijan State. The growth of the large-scale reform movement, especially since the 21st century, allows society to reach better social and economic development. The economic growth has also resulted in favorable social changes and so dynamic (Akkaya, 2018:88) . For example; opening new production areas and establishing new workplaces in non-oil sectors, development of production, transportation and communication infrastructure, creation of modern social infrastructure institutions, construction of new education, health, and sports centers forms the basis of the country's dynamic and sustainable development. All of these factors have a clear impact on a student’s personal, academic and social growth and development (Malik and Akkaya, 2021:342). In Azerbaijan, progress is being made in the right handling of social problems, and citizens' social security is being brought up to international standards. In line with the latest data announced by the Azerbaijan Statistics Committee, while the poverty level was 49% at the beginning of 2000, the latest figures show that this rate is around 6% (Aliyeva, 2018: 55). It is critical for the study's objective to provide data on the demographic features of young people prior to their social problems.
