Education Policies Re-Evaluation From the Perspective of Equality and Diversity

Abstract

This section discusses the importance of re-evaluating education policies from an equality and justice perspective and the scope of this process. Today, it is seen that many countries have taken an important step to ensure that societies progress towards a more inclusive and fair future by basing their education policies on the principles of equality and justice. However, it may not always be possible to achieve these determined goals. For this reason, if policy makers need to take equal and fair measures to ensure the functionality of policies, they should revise the policies in an inclusive manner. It will be possible to realize the structural and cultural changes needed in education systems by maintaining constant communication and interaction between policy makers, educators and education stakeholders. In addition, with the increasing use of technology in education, digital inequalities are also becoming a problem.
