Emerging Academy-Business Research and Trends on Leaders and Actors

Abstract

Emerging Academy-Business Research and Trends Focused on Leaders and Actors provides a recent and emerging research from dissertations or masters theses representing practices and/or concerns related to some aspect of the academy-business relationship. Since most research from dissertations is not published in scholarly journals nor books, this review provides insight into the exploration of relevant bricolage of topics. ProQuest Dissertation and Thesis International is more easily accessed via library websites, however, works are behind a pay wall, so not consumed by the general population. An attempt has been made to cluster prior work so that a portrait of existing research can emerge. Studies included thin groupings of research on fundraising, presidential behavior, other leader behavior, and corporate partnerships. Other topics of interest include organizational frames including higher education boards or office models, corporate partnerships or industry partnerships, or specific case studies.
