Abstract

Integrating compassion, mindfulness, and addiction awareness in education significantly enhances individual growth and academic success. By valuing student perspectives, compassion fosters benevolence, while mindfulness aids in self-awareness and stress management, thereby improving focus and performance. Raising addiction awareness and reducing stigma is crucial for disseminating mental health information. Educators play a vital role in creating supportive, empathetic learning environments. The Multidimensional Addiction Behaviour Scale (MABS) introduces key dimensions—Psychological, Biological, Social and Environmental, Cognitive and Behavioral Patterns, Motivation and Readiness for Change—that promote mindfulness, compassion, and addiction awareness. With solid content validity and reliability, as evidenced by high I-CVI and CVR values, the MABS effectively assesses the complex nature of addiction behaviour.
