Abstract

In today's competitive business environment, organizations must enhance performance to stay ahead. Traditional sources of advantage, like technology and natural resources, are increasingly imitable. Human resources (HR), being intangible and unique, have emerged as a crucial asset. This study examines high-performance work practices (HPWPs) in IT companies using exploratory factor analysis (EFA) to identify factors that drive organizational success. Data from 349 employees across IT firms in Delhi NCR revealed a five-factor model explaining 66.13% of the variance: organizational development initiatives, employee empowerment programs, compensation and advancement programs, workplace support systems, and performance enhancement programs. The findings indicate that implementing these HPWPs can significantly boost organizational performance. The study provides a framework for IT companies to enhance both organizational and employee performance. Future research should use confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) to validate the EFA-derived model.
