Abstract

There are two major problems that have an impact on marine ecosystems worldwide are water management and plastic pollution. Seas, oceans, and marine resources are to be preserved and used sustainably as the goal of SDG 14. This chapter looks at the changing legislative frameworks for water management and the eradication of plastic pollution. It examines national, international, and regional legal frameworks intended to safeguard the marine environment, highlighting areas of strength, weakness, and room for development. It also addresses the significance of water management and the prevention of plastic pollution. It also examines important legislative frameworks and offers suggestions for strengthening existing laws that safeguard marine biodiversity.
