Abstract

The primary objective of this chapter is to explore the future implications of drone technology and focus on emerging trends such as autonomous, significant growth of the drone industry, and transformation sectors such as healthcare, disaster management, logistics, and agriculture. Further, the focus should be on the evolving drone policies, urban air traffic control, signal interference, hacking, and data breaches. In view of this, the Real-time data processing, increased use cases, and improved operational efficiency are all anticipated benefits of these developments. Additionally, the need for UAVs to have greater mobility, autonomy, and range led to the development of innovative battery-swapping, docking station, and precision landing systems. As the drone industry can transform a variety of industries, such as logistics and public safety, actively dealing with the challenges and navigating these trends. It will help to create a future that is more robust, connected and efficient.
