Methodology And Methods

Research Design

This study aimed to measure the capacity of local actors to leverage resources to build and maintain welcoming communities for newcomers and identify promising policies and practices. It adopted a qualitative research design with a continual and dynamic data collection and analysis process (Bogdan & Biklen, 2007; Creswell, 2009; Denzin & Lincoln, 2003; Taylor & Bogdan, 1998). Over two years, the research team collected and analyzed data in several phases spanning over two years in reciprocal learning, investigating, and problem-solving processes.
